MISSION is a 11 years old non-government and non-profit development organization established in 2002 working to improve the quality of lives of  rural and urban poor in Odisha.  The centre has primary focus on eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, ensuring social inclusion and justice, good governance and citizen’s right. Helping communities identify and initiate development measures; providing skill development training, vocational education  and other capacity-building support to pro-poor organizations and individuals; and carrying out research and advocacy in favour of the poor people especially the tribal constitute the major initiatives of the organisation.
Rural Livelihoods, Education, Skill Development, entrepreneurship Development , Disaster Response and Mitigation, Health, Gender Equity; Child Rights and Protection, and Water and Sanitation are its major areas of work. MISSION works at both the grassroots level - directly with communities - and through SHG partners, which makes its development model unique.



MISSION was formally registered in 2002 after two years of interaction and engagement with rural communities, with the mission to "energies, involve and enable communities to realize their potential". We started off by working with a few rural communities in Odapda Block of Dhenkanal District in the state of Odisha. Since its inception it has focused on Entrepreneurship Development , Capacity Building, Skill Development, Livelihood Promotion etc and have come a long way to being functional in 5 Districts

Genesis & Approach.
The MISSION team at all our locations supports the village community & prospective entrepreneurs to work to constantly plan and implement developmental programmes. With the support and co-operation of our communities, we have been able to bring about tangible changes in different aspects of their lives.
An equitable society where women and men can freely realize their full potential, fulfill their rights and responsibilities and lead their life with dignity and self respect.
